Many 2.2's have been converted to twin Dellorto carbs to imitate the very effective twin Weber setup of the 'S'
Matra had the advantage of the ability to build a special inlet manifold and airbox to make their's an effective installation whereas the imitations tend to be very noisey.

Many of the conversions use 45mm carbs which are too big. The Weber used on the 'S' was 40mm.
